Honda Cars India has finally launched the 2021 Amaze facelift today. The upgraded sub-compact sedan now costs between Rs 6.32 lakh and Rs 11.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a host of cosmetical changes as well as new features. But before we talk about these changes, first have a look at its new price list: –

Also, the new Amaze is about Rs 6,000 more expensive than the earlier, which seems quite insignificant. However, it is worth noting that Honda had increased the prices of the pre-facelift Amaze by up to Rs 1.12 lakh earlier this month. That means the new Honda Amaze is up to Rs 1.16 lakh more expensive against the prices in July month.

2021 Honda Amaze Facelift – What's New?

Exterior

For beginners, the chrome bar grille of the new facelifted Honda Amaze is now sleeker than before and gets two additional horizontal chrome strips at the bottom. The sedan also receives a slightly revised front bumper design with fog lamp housing topped up with chrome. Also on offer is the new automatic LED projector headlamps with integrated LED Daytime Running Lamps and LED fog lamps (reserved for the VX variant).

The side profile of the sedan remains largely unchanged, except for the chrome-finished door handles and 15-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels that it has borrowed from the fourth-generation City. At the rear, the 2021 Amaze gets more contemporary C-shaped LED tail-lights along with new chrome trimmings and reflectors on the bumper. Besides, the facelifted sedan also gets a new Meteoroid Grey exterior shade, along with the existing Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red, Lunar Silver, and Golden Brown color options.

Interior and Features

The cabin of the updated Honda Amaze remains mostly identical to the previous model, save for a new gear knob and silver accents on the dashboard, steering wheel, door trims, and gear lever. It also gets new map lamps in the front row.

Author's Take

The changes in Honda Amaze are largely confined to the cosmetic front. It would have been better if the company had offered features like front armrests, rear AC vents and connected car technology.
