2021 Force Gurkha Accessories List Revealed Ahead Of Launch

Force Motors has unveiled its iconic G-Wagon-inspired off-roader, the Gurkha, in an all-new avatar. It is due to enter the Indian market on September 27, with deliveries beginning on October 15. But ahead of its launch, the brand has revealed its accessories list that will not only increase its practicality and aesthetics but also offer added protection. These include: –

  • Roof Carrier – To provide extra space for luggage and other essentials.
  • Rear Leader – For easy access to the roof carrier.
  • Tail Lamp Grille and Windscreen Bar – For added protection of the tail lamps and windscreen from tree branches and debris during off-roading.
  • Roof Rails: – To enhance the vehicle aesthetics.
  • Alloy Wheels and All-Terrain (AT) Tyres – For more traction on unpaved surfaces like mud, sand, loose dirt, or gravel, etc.
  • Rear Child Seats – These are side-facing seats that can be fitted into the boot for extra occupancy.

Prices for the Force Gurkha accessories will be revealed during the time of launch. Till then, let’s brush up on what we know about the purpose-built SUV so far: –

The 2021 Force Gurkha comes with remodelled body panels along with new LED headlamps with DRLs, LED fog lamps, and new glass panes for the windows and windscreens. Inside, it gets a newly designed dashboard, dressed up in an-all black theme. Not only the design, but the brand has also improved the SUV on the comfort and safety aspects. That said, it gets features like a 7-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4-speaker sound system, manual air conditioning system, follow-me-headlamps, front power windows, a 12V power socket, USB charging ports, and two captain seats in the second row with individual armrest.

Passenger safety will be taken care of by dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, cornering lamps, speed-sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Powering the 2021 Gurkha is the BS6-compliant 2.6-litre diesel engine that churns out 91PS and 250Nm. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and gets a 4×4 drivetrain as standard with a low-range gearbox. Besides, the SUV also gets front & rear manual locking differentials (for seamless off-road performance), along with front & rear anti-roll bars (to keep the body roll in check) and an air-intake snorkel (provides water wadding capacity of 700mm).

Prices of the Force Gurkha are expected to start at around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Mahindra Thar and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
