2021 Ducati Scrambler Range Launched In India At A Starting Price Of Rs 7.99 lakh

Ducati India has started its 2021 journey with the launch of three Scramble range of motorcycles: The Scrambler Icon Dark, Scrambler Icon, and Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro at Rs 7.99 lakh, Rs 8.49 lakh, and Rs 10.99 lakh respectively. Bookings of all these new Scramblers are now open across all Ducati dealerships for a token of Rs 50,000. Deliveries are slated to begin from 28th January 2021.

For 2021, the BS6 Scrambler Icon Dark gets a Matt Black paint scheme, whereas the Icon 800 flaunts Ducati Red, and the 62 Yellow finished along with several other updates, which include a new flatter seat for enhanced comfort, a revised suspension set-up for smooth riding experience, and new aluminum 10-spoke alloy wheels borrowed from the Scrambler 1100. The other changes include black cylinder heads and brushed aluminum fins.

In terms of features, the Scrambler Icon gets an all-LED lighting system, electric start, dual-channel antilock braking system, pass switch, an all-digital instrument cluster with Ducati Multimedia System which enables you to take/see SMS & calls while riding.

Ducati’s entry-level Scrambler Icon Dark and the Icon draws their power from a BS6-compliant Desmodromic 803cc L-twin air-cooled engine that produces 72.87PS and 66.2Nm. The power figure is the same as the BS4 version, however, the torque output has been decreased by 0.8Nm. The engine retains its 6-speed gearbox with no changes. It continues to get a hydraulically actuated slip-and-assist clutch. The Scrambler Icon & Icon Dark delivers a fuel economy of around 20kmpl.

On the other hand, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro gets a new Dark Stealth finish. Everything else is similar to the other Scramble 1100 variants. It is powered by the same 1,079cc air-cooled L-twin engine as the Scrambler 1100 Pro that makes 84.7PS/90.5Nm.

The notable features of Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro trim include a fully digital instrument cluster, LED round daytime running lamps, switchable four-level traction control (DTC), cornering Antilock Braking System (ABS), and three riding modes: Active, Journey and City, etc. To more about them, click here
