Tata Punch EV Smart, Smart Plus Variants Explained In Images

Tata Punch EV has recently gone on sale at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electrified SUV is now offered in five broad variants: Smart, Smart Plus, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered Plus. In this thread, letโ€™s delve into the Smart and Smart Plus variants through images.

The entry-level Smart variant of the Tata Punch EV comes equipped with LED headlamps, LED DRLs and a faux silver skid plate. However, unlike the higher-spec trims, the DRLs are not connected in the Smart and Smart Plus variants. They also miss out on the fog lamps.

On the sides, the Tata Punch.EV Smart lineup features blacked-out side mirrors, door handles, and wheel cover for the 15-inch steel wheels. However, the difference between Smart and Smart+ variants lies in the form of a roof antenna. Compared to the higher variants, both the Smart and Smart+ miss out on the roof rails.

Towards the rear, both the Punch EV Smart and Smart Plus trims get LED taillights and a faux silver skid plate on the bumper. However, thereโ€™s no rear wiper & washer and rear defogger.

Inside, the Punch EV features a dual-tone dashboard layout with fabric upholstery. It also boasts Tataโ€™s latest 2-spoke digital steering wheel and automatic climate control with a touch panel. While the Smart variant misses the infotainment system, the Smart+ trim receives a 7-inch floating unit by HARMAN with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity support.

Powertrain

Powering the Tata Punch EV Smart and Smart+ variants is an 82PS front-axle mounted PMS motor that delivers a peak torque of 114Nm. It draws its power from the medium range 25kWh battery that claims 315 kilometres on a single charge.

Both these variants come with a 3.3 kW AC wallbox charger, which can juice up the battery pack from 10 to 100% in 9.4 hours. On the other hand, the 50kW DC fast charger will take approximately 56 mins for 10-80% charge.
