Renault Duster Becomes More Powerful With The Introduction Of New Turbocharged Petrol Engine

To compensate for the loss of the diesel engine, Renault India has finally introduced a new 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine in Duster's line-up. It is the same turbo engine that also powers the Nissan Kicks Turbo. The 1.5-liter diesel engine was dumped during BS6 up-gradation from both the cars.

Author's Take

Introducing the Turbocharged petrol engine in Duster's lineup is a good move, as it will now gain more attention from buyers, thanks to the most powerful engine of the segment and the choice of a CVT automatic gearbox. However, it still misses out the all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) option, which used to be its center of attraction in the BS4 era.
