The premium hatchback segment recognized as one of the most consistent PV categories, generating a decent number of sales every month. However, the last month was an uneven patch for the segment as all premium hatchbacks except the Honda Jazz saw a drop in Month-on-Month figures. Let’s see how each of them performed in April 2021 sales:-

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno continues to be the most favorite premium hatchback of the country even though it witnessed a drop of approximately 23% in MoM sales. The sales figures dropped from 21,217 units in March to 16,384 units last month. That's a huge fall of 4833 units. However, its market share is the highest in the segment.
Tata's Altroz took the second spot on the sales chart by overtaking the Hyundai i20 by 1647 units.
The Korean hatchback managed to be in third place for April 2021 with the highest fall in Month-on-Month sales figures.
Baleno's cross-badge sibling Toyota Glanza reports 2,182 sold units in last month.
The aging Volkswagen Polo registered the second-highest MoM decline last month.
Though the Honda Jazz failed to cross the 1000-unit mark in April 2021, its MoM growth was the highest among all.
