Maruti Grand Vitara AWD Variant Teased; Unveil On July 20

As we get closer to the unveiling of the Maruti Grand Vitara which is scheduled for July 20, more details continue to surface. After teasing the outer design of the SUV, Maruti Suzuki has now teased the all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant of the Grand Vitara that will get “AllGrip” label and four terrain modes such as Auto, Snow, Lock, and Sport.

Since the Maruti Grand Vitara is based on the Toyota Hyryder, it will come with two engine options: 1.5-liter k-series petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a Toyota-sourced 1.5-litre TNGA petrol with a self-charging strong hybrid system.

In terms of features, the Grand Vitara will be well equipped with key equipment including a free-floating infotainment system, connected car tech, a digitized instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, wireless smartphone charger, leather upholstery, 360-degree camera, up to 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system and much more.

Expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the new Grand Vitara by August end, with prices likely to start from Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will replace the S-Cross from the brand’s India lineup.
