The all-new W175 has recreated the old-fashioned street bike looks of the Kawasaki Z1, featuring a circular halogen headlight & rearview mirrors, bulb-type side indicators, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat. The 12-liter fuel tank of the bike also features a quaint ‘W’ badging. There’s also the matt black treatment for the powertrain & peashooter exhaust, complementing its overall retro appeal. One thing on the W175 that feels slight upmarket is its semi-digital instrument cluster that provides tell-tales like time, speed, fuel reading, odometer and trip meter reading.

Suspension duties on the W175 are taken care of by a telescopic front fork (retro-styled gaiters, 110mm travel) and dual rear shock absorbers (64mm travel). It rides on 17-inch wire-spoke wheels and gets a 270mm disc up front with single channel ABS and a drum brake at the rear. It tips the scale at 135kg and has a seat height of 790mm.

Powering the Kawasaki W175 is a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that makes 13PS and 13.3Nm. It comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The W175 doesn’t have a direct rival in the retro category. However, it can be seen as a more expensive alternative to the Yamaha FZ-X and Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
