Hyundai Alcazar To Soon Get A New Petrol-Automatic Variant; Prices Out

Hyundai Motors India has recently discontinued the 6-seater Prestige and Prestige (O) petrol trims from Alcazar's lineup. And now a leaked document has revealed that the three-row mid-SUV will soon receive a new top-spec 7-seater petrol automatic variant.

Based on the Signature (O), the new AT trim is likely to costs Rs 24,96,839 (on-road, Bangalore). With this, it will become the first 7-seater petrol variant in Alcazar's lineup. Currently, only the Prestige, Prestige (O) and Platinum (O) variants are available in 6-and 7-seater configuration options, albeit only with a diesel powertrain. 

Priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Signature (O) petrol trim comes with lots of premium features like 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, automatic LED projector headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BlueLink connected car tech, a digital instrument cluster, auto climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof; 8-speakers Bose premium sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, in-built auto air-purifier with AQI display, cruise control, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring system, front & rear parking sensors, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, paddle shifters, multiple driving (Eco, City, Sport) & traction control modes (Snow, Sand, Mud), 6-airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, and much more.

Powering the Hyundai Alcazar is a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (159PS/191Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm) engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. 

In the mid-size SUV space, the Hyundai Alcazar locks horns with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
