Bookings for the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV have recently started at an initial deposit of Rs 21,000. Its official price announcement will take place in September 2023. As part of the recent updates, the carmaker has also disclosed colour and powertrain options for each variant. Honda Elevate variants

Engine and Gearbox

  • Powering the Honda Elevate will be a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that makes 121PS of max power and 145Nm of peak torque.
  • Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-step CVT automatic, mated to the front wheels of the SUV.
  • Honda hasn’t any plan to introduce a hybrid engine with the Elevate. Instead, it will get a pure electric powertrain by 2026.

Expected Price and Rivals

  • We anticipate Honda to price the new Elevate SUV from around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Hyundai Creta and the recently unveiled Kia Seltos Facelift.
