- Tata Nexon EV to get a bigger battery pack with improved driving range.
- Likely to be sold alongside its existing model.
- Expected to receive new features and a few cosmetic changes.
Tata Motors is expected to launch the facelifted Nexon EV with a bigger battery pack on April 20. While it is not official, the carmaker is likely to sell the long-range Nexon EV alongside its existing model, catering to a wider section of the audience.
As reported earlier, the upgraded Tata Nexon EV is expected to feature a larger 40kWh battery pack that is claimed to offer an estimated drive range of around 400km on a single charge. On the other hand, the existing Nexon EV comes with a 30.2kWh battery pack and has an ARAI-claimed range of 312km. However, the real-world range is around 200 kilometers/charge.
The 2022 Tata Nexon EV is also expected to feature improved charging capabilities, selectable regenerative braking modes, and a few extra goodies over the ongoing model such as ventilated seats, auto-dimming IRVM, air purifier, cruise control, park mode, all-four disc brakes, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), etc. Besides, there could be some visual changes to the exterior and interior of the car.

Expect the long-range Nexon EV to cost Rs 2-3 lakh more over the standard model, which currently retails from Rs 14.54 lakh to Rs 17.15 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, it will still have a price advantage over the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
In the other news, Tata Motors has also recently unveiled the Curvv EV concept, which will be launched by 2024. It will also reveal a mysterious product on April 28, 2022.
