BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition Launched In India

BMW has launched the M Performance Edition for its 2 Series Gran Coupe in India at Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it is Rs 50,000 more expensive than the 220i M Sport Pro variant.

BMW has stated that it will be sold in limited numbers only.

BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition – What’s Special?

  • Being an M Performance Edition, it gets M-specific parts, such as a new grille, M drive selector, door projector puddle lamps and M badging at various places.  
  • This limited edition is available only with the Sapphire Black exterior colour, with grille and wing mirrors finished in Cerium Grey.
  • Inside, the sedan sports a dual-tone black-and-beige scheme, with the upholstery draped in Sensatec Oyster Black, elevating its sportiness.
  • As for features, the BMW 2 Series M Performance gets the same set of equipment as the standard model, comprising a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless charger, a heads-up display, a 10-speaker sound system, six airbags, reversing camera, and run-flat tyres.

BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition

Powertrain

Powering the 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition is the sedan’s 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 176PS of max power and 280Nm of peak torque, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.1 seconds. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that propels the front wheels of the car.
