2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 – What’s New?

While maintaining its original retro DNA, everything from the engine to the frame, underpinnings, features, and even ergonomics have undergone significant reworking. To start with –

  • The bike gets a new 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, counterbalanced engine that makes 20.2PS at 6100 rpm and 27Nm at 4000 rpm. It is the same mill that we’ve seen on the Hunter 350, Classic 350 and Meteor 350. However, it gets a different power mapping to suit its nature.
  • Design-wise, it looks more or less the same as the outgoing model. However, it gets refreshed “Bullet 350” badging on the fuel tank, continuing to feature hand-painted golden pinstripes. Besides, the tail lamp, fenders and side panels of the 2023 Bullter are also new.
  • The bike maker has also given the Bullet a slightly modern touch with the incorporation of a new switchgear, USB charging port and a new instrument cluster, which gets a digital inset with readouts like trip meters, odometer, fuel gauge, and Eco indicator. However, compared to the Classic 350, it misses out on the brand’s patented tripper navigation pod.
  • When it comes to ergonomics, the new Bullet 350 features a new single-piece ribbed seat with denser cushioning, which is claimed to enhance ride comfort. The handlebar also sits slightly taller, offering a more upright riding stance.
  • Speaking of the hardware, the bike gets a new and chubbier 41mm telescopic fork up front and a twin shock setup at the rear.
  • For braking, the bike gets Bybre disc brakes at both ends in higher variants, with a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS). The entry-level trim gets a drum at the rear, with single-channel ABS.
  • Royal Enfield has wrapped its 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels in 100-section and 120-section tyres, respectively.
