Exterior and Dimensions

Mahindra has made some substantial changes in terms of design. Built on a new body-on-frame platform (13% lighter than before), everything about the Scorpio N is new. Aye, it retains its iconic boxy DNA, but all the body panels are new and get plenty of soft & clean lines. Upfront, it gets a sleeker-looking slatted grille, flanked by dual-beam LED projector headlamps. The bumper is now more rugged and gets C-shaped LED DRLs. At the rear, it sports new vertically stacked LED tail lamps with dynamic turn indicators.

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N gets a bolder-looking dual-tone black-brown dashboard with abundance of silver accents for premium appeal. The brand claims that it has the highest command seating in its class that allows easy ingress-egress.

In terms of features, the upgraded SUV gets plenty of new features such as 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech with Alexa compatibility, what3words navigation, a 12-speaker Sony sound system with roof-mounted speakers, dual-zone climate control, 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof, cruise control, driver drowsiness detection, advanced electronic stability control, front & rear camera, and up to six airbags.

The brand has also equipped the new Scorpio with Penta-link rear suspension with the segment’s first WATT’s Link mechanism that offers more commanding handling, especially at corners. It also gets frequency-dependent damping and MTV-CL technology in the shock absorbers that is claimed to eliminate all the harsh impacts and enhance the body-control and ride comfort.

Color Options

Mahindra has offered the 2022 Scorpio in 7 color options: Dazzling Silver, Deep Forest, Grand Canyon, Everest White, Napoli Black, Red Rage, and Royal Gold.

Test drives of the new Scorpio will commence from 5th July 2022 in 30 cities, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Indore, Chandigarh, Guwahati, and more. Mahindra will sell the new Scorpio alongside the older model.
