2021 Hyundai Verna Gets Wireless Apple Carplay And Android Auto Smartphone Connectivity

Recently, we have informed you about the 2021 Creta that is likely to get some new features. While its official declaration is yet to be made, the Korean maker has silently updated the Verna sedan with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. These smartphone connectivity features will only be available with the S+ and SX variants. Surprisingly, the top-spec SX(O) trim misses out on this feature and it still requires a conventional tethered USB connection to access these functions. Apart from the Verna, the mid-spec Sportz variant of i20 also offered with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in Hyundai's product lineup.

While it might seem like a small update, it will really create a big difference for people who usually take multiple stops on their trips. The wireless function for Apple Carplay & Android Auto provides ease in connecting the smartphone to the car's infotainment system using Bluetooth instead of the USB cable. Hence, you could just leave your phone in your pocket during the entire trip, and still access various functions like navigation, messages/calls, music, podcasts, and much more.

Considering the fact that Hyundai has recently increased the prices of its entire product range, the asking rates of Verna S+ and SX variants remain unaffected now. This means you will get this feature at no added cost. The Hyundai Verna S and SX trims continue to be priced between Rs 9.60 lakh to 13.35 lakh, depending on the fuel type and transmission option. For the people not in know, the Hyundai Verna is available with three engine choices- 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-liter petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel. Their specifications are as follows: –
