Volkswagen Taigun, Polo And Vento To Get Expensive From The New Year

Volkswagen Auto is the latest carmaker to announce a price hike for its all models except for the recently launched facelifted Tiguan 5 seater SUV. As per the carmaker, the ex-showroom prices of its cars will be increased from 2 to 5 percent from the January 2022 due to increasing input and operational costs. However, the extent of price increment will vary depending on the model and variant.

Here's a look at the current prices of all Volkswagen cars available for sale in India: –

Volkswagen Polo

Rs 6.32 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh

Volkswagen Vento

Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.15 lakh

Volkswagen Taigun

Rs 10.54 lakh to Rs 17.54 lakh

Volkswagen Tiguan

Rs 31.99 lakh

Volkswagen has recently increased the prices of the Taigun SUV by Rs 5,200. And it will receive another price hike in January, which is quite unfair. 

In other updates, Volkswagen will soon introduce the successor model of the Vento sedan in the Indian market that is likely to be called Virtus. It will share its underpinning and powertrain with the upcoming Skoda Slavia. In addition, VW may also bring the facelifted Tiguan Allspace and T-Roc to our shores by next year.
