Volkswagen has now equipped the Taigun’s top-spec GT Plus variant with the front ventilated seat feature. It’s an optional fitment for a premium of Rs 25,000.
Apart from the seat ventilation function, the Volkswagen Taigun also features an LED lighting system, alloy wheels, auto headlamps, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charger, auto climate control, rear AC vents, cruise control, electric sunroof and much more.
Safety is covered by up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a rear-view camera.
Powering the Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus variant is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (150PS/250Nm) that comes with idle start/stop tech and active cylinder tech. The latter switches off two of four cylinders in case of low load conditions. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
In the mid-size SUV segment, the Volkswagen Taigun competes with the likes of Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Nissan Kicks.
