Volkswagen Taigun Deliveries Begin Across The Country

Deliveries of the recently launched Volkswagen Taigun have been begun across the country. For those who aren't aware, the SUV has already garnered over 12,221 pre-launch bookings.

Ranging between Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Taigun is available in two broad trim levels: Dynamic Line and Performance Line. While the former has three sub-variants (Comfortline, Highline, and Topline) and is limited to just a 1.0-litre TSI engine, the latter consists of two (GT and GT+) and is available with a more powerful 1.5-litre petrol unit. As the above table indicates, Volkswagen offers the 1.5-litre TSI petrol mill with Active Cylinder Deactivation technology that shuts down two cylinders (out of four) under low load conditions to enhance fuel efficiency. In addition, it also gets an engine idle start/stop function that automatically shuts down the engine when idling for 5-10 seconds, and restarts it when the clutch is pressed.

In terms of features, the Volkswagen Taigun comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, keyless entry with push-button starts, a single-pane sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, a 6-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, and much more. Safety is taken care of by up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, low tyre pressure warning system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors with camera. Click here for variant-wise features details.
