Kia’s Anticipated Models for 2024

Kia Sonet Facelift

The recently unveiled Kia Sonet Facelift will be launched in January 2024. Being a facelift model, it has gotten bolder & sharper and boasts enhanced features to take on the likes of Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and soon-to-be-launched Mahindra XUV300. While it continues to get all three engine options, it now regains the diesel-manual combination. Expect its price to start from around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kia KA4 concept, essentially the fourth-gen Carnival, was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. It showcased a design with more rugged, SUV-inspired elements and boasted an overall larger size compared to its predecessor. Expect it to be offered with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 202PS and 440Nm of peak torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Kia EV9

Kia is anticipated to launch the flagship EV9 three-row electric SUV in India by mid-2024. It was recently previewed at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 in a near-production avatar. The global release is set to feature multiple battery and electric motor options, offering both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD). Depending on the chosen powertrain, the EV9 boasts a claimed range of over 541 km.
