TVS To Launch A New Affordable Electric 2-Wheeler Ahead of Festive Season

TVS Motor Company is gearing up to expand its electric two-wheeler lineup with a brand-new entry-level electric 2-wheeler, set to launch ahead of the festive season. Aimed at attracting first-time EV buyers and budget-conscious commuters, this new offering is likely to be positioned below the iQube range, making it the most affordable electric scooter from TVS yet.

As of now, the TVS iQube has five variants on offer across three battery pack options: 2.2 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 5.3 kWh. Their prices range between Rs 94,434 to Rs 1,58,834 (ex-showroom). We expect the upcoming TVS scooter to get the same 2.2 kWh battery pack and a hub-mounted motor as the entry-level trim of the iQube, with a claimed range of around 94 km. However, it could be simpler in terms of features.

2025 TVS Jupiter 110 price

While the brand is yet to announce the product name, rumours suggest that it could be an electric derivative of the highly popular Jupiter. If this happens, expect it to be offered with multiple battery pack options, like the iQube, to target a wide section of the audience. Its design could also resemble its ICE counterpart. The brand is also expected to introduce its CNG iteration, which was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo.

We also cannot deny the possibility of the upcoming TVS EV being an electric version of the XL moped. The brand has already filed trademarks for the names “XL EV” and “E-XL”, which could be used for the upcoming model. For those unaware, the TVS XL 100 is currently the most affordable ICE 2-wheeler in India. Now, only time will tell if the upcoming TVS electric 2-wheeler joins a familiar nameplate or braks cover as a completely new product line from TVS.
