TVS NTorq 125 XT Variant Launched With Host Of New Features

TVS Motors Company has added yet another sporty variant to NTorq 125 scooter’s lineup called the XT. Priced at Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom), the new TVS NTorq 125 XT trim is Rs 13,612 more expensive than the Race XP edition.

TVS NTorq 125 XT – What’s New?

The all-new TVS NTorq 125 XT variant gets race-oriented styling, new color schemes, and more connectivity features, making it the most feature-rich, sporty scooter in the country.

  • For starters, it comes wrapped in a new & more energetic dual-tone Neon Green paint scheme, with updated graphics and new & lighter black alloy wheels, giving it a more aggressive look.

  • The biggest highlight of the new XT trim is its industry-first hybrid split TFT and LCD digital instrument cluster, with a dedicated screen for the Race mode that features a silent starter, lap timer, top speed indicator, and a 0-60kmph timer.
  • It also gets TVS SmartXonnect (connectivity suite), a SmartXtalk voice assistant to control modes/screen brightness/ music/ navigation, and a SmartXtrack function for live notifications on news, cricket, weather, and social media alerts, food delivery tracking, etc. The SmartXtrack only works when the scooter is stationary.
  • The new trim also receives TVS’ IntelliGO technology for ignition management which is essentially an engine idle start/stop system that we have already seen in TVS Jupiter.

The other notable features of the NTorq 125 XT trim include an LED headlight with LED DRLs, engine kill switch, underseat USB charger with light, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, external fuel filler cap, high-speed alert, parking brakes, and petal disc brakes at both ends with Combined Braking System (CBS).

Engine and Competitors

At the heart of the TVS NTorq 125 XT is the same 124.8cc, 3-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine that churns out the same 9.3PS and 10.5Nm as the Race Edition variant, which is 0.9PS/0.3Nm less than the Race XP edition.

In the Indian market, the NTroq 125 goes up against the Honda Grazia 125 (Rs 80,175 – 88,500), Suzuki Avenis (Rs 86,500 – 87,000), Yamaha RayZR 125 (77,830 – 84,830), and Aprilia SR 125 (Rs 1 – 1.08 lakh).
