TVS iQube Electric Scooter Launched In The National Capital

TVS Motor Company has launched its iQube electric scooter in the national capital at a starting price of Rs 1,08,012 (on-road, including FAME and Delhi state subsidy). Earlier, this e-scooter was available only in Bengaluru where it costs Rs 1.15 lakh (on-road). Interested customers can make its booking for a token of Rs 5,000 via the brand’s website and across select dealerships in Delhi.

TVS iQube e-scooter draws its power from the three lithium-ion batteries (2.25kWh), coupled to a 4.4 kW hub motor which is proficient in generating 140Nm of peak torque and deliver a top speed of 78kmph. It can sprint from 0 to 40kmph in just 4.2 seconds. TVS claims a range of 75km on a single charge and offers a warranty of 3-years/50,000kms on the battery pack. 

As far as the charging is concerned, the brand offers a SmartXHome wall charger that can charge the scooter 100% in approximately 5 hours. This SmartXHome charger comes with various security features so that no other person can use your charger without your permission. These mainly include such as RFID security, Bluetooth connectivity, app-based remote tracking, and auto power cut-off.

The TVS iQube can also be charged using a regular 5A socket. The brand has also set up seven charging stations across Delhi city.

On the design and features front, the TVS iQube looks like a conventional scooter, yet with modern design elements such as a crystal-clear sleek LED headlamp, U-shaped LED daytime running lamp, LED taillamps, and an illuminated ‘electric’ logo. It also gets TFT rider display that comes equipped with SmartXonnect system that enables the rider to connect his smartphone to the e-scooter via the TVS iQube application, which further allows you to access various features like geofencing, navigation assist, incoming call alerts/SMS alerts, last park location, ride statics, and remote battery charge status, etc.

Besides this, the iQube also gets a regenerative braking system and under-seat storage with LED lighting and USB charging port. The other technical specifications of the scooter are as follows: –
