Triumph Scrambler 400X
Triumph India is set to commence deliveries of the Scrambler 400X in the first week of November 2023. It was revealed in June, while the prices were announced earlier this month.
For those unaware, the Triumph Scrambler 400X is essentially an off-road capable version of the Speed 400, developed in collaboration with Bajaj Auto. Compared to the Speed 400, the Scrambler 400X incorporates several styling tweaks, distinct ergonomics, and mechanical enhancements, including larger wheels, more suspension travel and additional accessories tailored to its adventure spirit. On the features front, this British motorcycle gets a switchable Antilock Braking System (ABS), switchable traction control, ride-by-wire throttle technology, an all-LED lighting system, a C-type USB charging port, and a semi-digital instrument console with an LCD rider display. Unfortunately, it misses out on the Bluetooth connectivity.
At the heart of the Scrambler 400X lies a 398cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine that produces 40PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and 37.5Nm of peak twist at 6500 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission and claims a fuel efficiency of 28.3 kmpl.
Triumph claims that it has a service interval of 16,000 kilometres.
Triumph offers the Scrambler 400 X in three dual-tone body shades: Matt Khaki Green & Fusion White, Carnival Red & Phantom Black, and Phantom Black & Silver.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X faces competition from the Yezdi Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411, and the upcoming new-gen Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
