The Most Affordable Benelli TRK 251 Adventure Bike Launched In India

Benelli has launched its most affordable adventure tourer, the TRK 251 in India at Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings for the bike are already underway for a token amount of Rs 6,000. Deliveries of the motorcycle are scheduled to start from January 2022 across the country.

The Benelli TRK 251 is driven by a 249cc, single-cylinder, four-valve engine that can thrust out a maximum power of 25.8PS at 9,250rpm and 21.1Nm at 8,000rpm. Power is channelled to the wheel via a 6-speed gearbox unit. It gets a class-leading 18-litre fuel tank for uninterrupted touring.

The adventure bike has 17-inch wheels at both ends (wrapped in road-biased rubber), a high ground clearance of 170mm and a seat height of 800mm. It is 2070mm long with a wheelbase of 1390mm. It has disc brakes at both ends (280mm front & 240mm rear), assisted by a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS). The bike is suspended on an upside-down front telescopic fork (135mm travel) and a rear monoshock setup (60mm travel).

Aesthetically, the Benelli TRK 251 gets an attractively styling, upright riding ergonomics, and muscular fuel tank. It is built on a steel tube trestle frame, which is known for its superior handling prowess. Features-wise, the TRK 251 gets twin LED projector lights flanked by sporty LED DRLs, LED indicators (integrated into tank shrouds), wide handlebars, a tall windshield, and a fully digital LCD instrument cluster. However, it misses out on the smartphone connectivity function. Benelli is offering a 3-Years unlimited-kilometer warranty on the bike as standard.

The quarter-litre Benelli ADV is available in three colour options – Glossy White, Glossy Black and Glossy Grey.

In the Indian market, the Benelli TRK 251 primarily goes up against the KTM 250 Adventure. However, the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Hero XPulse 200 4V could also be seen as TRK's more pocket-friendly alternatives.
