Tata Punch.ev Battery Details, Specifications Leaked

Last week, Tata Motors unveiled the first look of the upcoming Punch.ev, along with details about its platform and variant lineup. Now, technical specifications of the Punch.ev have been leaked online ahead of its launch on January 17, 2024.

Tata Punch.ev – Specifications

As per the leaks, Tata will offer the Punch EV with 25 kWh and 35 kWh battery pack choices; both will get front-axle mounted single electric motors. The model with a 25 kWh battery pack (Standard Range) will provide an output of 82PS and 144Nm, with a claimed range of approximately 215 kilometres, whereas the 35 kWh Long-Range version will offer 122PS and 190Nm, boasting a claimed range of roughly 400 kilometres.

Tata Punch.ev – Variants

The Tata Punch.ev will be available in two trim levels – Standard Range and Long Range, across five broad trims: Smart, Smart +, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered +. Click here for variant-wise battery pack options.

Visual Distinctions and Features

Distinct from its ICE-powered counterpart, the electric Tata Punch showcases unique design elements, particularly in the front end, drawing visual parallels with the recently launched facelifted Nexon EV. Additionally, it introduces ten extra features compared to its standard version. These include:

  • LED projector headlamps
  • Leather seats
  • 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment
  • 10.25-inch digital driver’s display
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Rear AC vents
  • Air purifier
  • 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitoring
  • Standard six airbags
  • Electronic parking brakes

Expected Price and Rivals

Bookings for the Punch.ev are already underway. Anticipate Tata to price the it from roughly Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Citroen eC3.
