Tata Nexon EV Gets ‘Prime’ Suffix Along With New Features

Yesterday, we reported that the prices of Tata Nexon EV have gone up by up to Rs 20,000. And now, the carmaker has added some new features to the electrified Nexon to validate the price hike. Tata Motors has also added the “Prime” suffix to its name. That said, it will be now called “Tata Nexon EV Prime”.

Tata Nexon EV Prime – What’s New?

The Tata Nexon EV Prime has borrowed some features from its long-range version, the Nexon EV MAX. The list contains multi-level regenerative braking, automatic brake lamp activation on regenerative braking, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, Smartwatch integrated connectivity feature, and charging timeout of 110 seconds. All these features will be standard across the range.

What’s more interesting is that the existing users of Tata Nexon EV will also benefit from these newly added features from 25th July 2022 via a software update and that too for free of cost. However, subsequent software updates to all existing owners will be chargeable.

Is there any other change?

Apart from the above-mentioned changes, the Nexon EV Prime remains unchanged. It will continue to be powered by a 129PS permanent-magnet AC motor that draws its charge from a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and delivers a claimed range of 312 kilometers.

The brand offers the Nexon EV Prime in three colors: Signature Teal Blue, Glacier White, and Daytona Grey.
