The Tata Nexon EV has received a full 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection in the latest rounds of Bharat NCAP crash tests. It was crash-tested alongside the Punch EV, which also secured a 5-star rating.
Bharat NCAP crash-tested the range-topping Empowered Plus Long Range (LR) variant of the Nexon. However, it stated that the results apply to all variants.
Offered in two battery sizes: 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh, the Tata Nexon EV is priced between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It competes directly with the Mahindra XUV400 and provides a more affordable alternative to vehicles such as the Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV.
