Tata Nexon Diesel To Get DCT Transmission Option

Tata Motors is all set to launch the Nexon diesel with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission option. The brand has recently listed the Nexon Fearless+ S diesel variant with the diesel-DCT combination. However, its prices are yet to be revealed.

Currently, Tata offers the Nexon diesel with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT units. Its 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 115PS of max power and 260Nm of peak torque, which claims a mileage of 23.23 km/l with manual and 24.08 km/l with the AMT units. On the other hand, its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine makes 120PS and 170Nm, and is available with three transmission options: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT.

Regarding features, the Fearless+ S comes loaded with necities like bi-LED headlamp with sequential LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, Harman Kardon sound system, 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charger, air purifier, electric sunroof, auto AC, rear AC vents, ventilated font seats, six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system 360-degree camera with front parking sensor, rear defogger, and more.

Currently, the Tata Nexon Feareless+ S diesel-AMT variant is priced at Rs 15.60 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect its DCT version to command a premium of Rs 50,000 over the AMT version.
