Choosing between the two depends could vary between your fondness for different body styles and need for the advanced features.

Both the Mahindra XEV 9e and Tata Harrier EV are built on dedicated EV platforms and come well-equipped with advanced features, making them promising options, at least on paper. While the Harrier EV retains much of the design from its ICE counterpart, the XEV 9e stands out with a futuristic look and a wide range of state-of-the-art features.

In terms of performance, the Harrier EV takes the lead with up to 313 PS and an AWD option, catering to those who prioritise power and traction. However, the XEV 9e delivers impressive range, up to 656 km on the MIDC cycle, outperforming the Harrierโ€™s expected figures and making it ideal for range-conscious users. The XEV 9e also edges ahead in space, with a longer wheelbase and more usable cargo capacity, while the Harrier EV holds its own with superior off-road credentials like better approach/departure angles and a 600 mm water wading capability.

Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on what you value more: if you prefer a rugged, SUV-like appeal with some off-road capability, the Harrier EV fits the bill. If your priorities lean towards futuristic styling, better range, and everyday practicality, the XEV 9e stands out as the more forward-looking and family-friendly option.
