The monthly sales figures for July 2022 have been publicized and Tata Motors have relished significantly higher demand compared with the same period last year. The car & SUVs sales (PV sales) for Tata Motors have increased by 57 percent against the sales recorded in July 2021. The monthly sales, on the other hand, boosted by 5.10 percent. However, what impresses us most is the demand of Tata electric vehicles (EVs) have reported year-on-year growth of 566 percent in July 2022.

Talking about the category-wise sales figures, Tata Motors sold 5,293 units of CNG-powered Tiago and Tigor last month. The SUV sales, on the other hand, contributed to 64 percent of total sales. For reference, Tata currently has four SUVs in its portfolio: Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, out of which the Tata Punch recorded its highest ever monthly sales of 11,007 units since its launch in October 2021.

Speaking of commercial vehicle (CV) sales, Tata reported sales of 31,473 vehicles in the domestic market and exported 2,681 CVs in other countries. With this, the total CV sales stood at 34,154 units in July 2022 compared to 23,848 units in July 2021.
