Following the Kushaq and Slavia, the upcoming Kylaq will be Skoda’s third offering to be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. It will be 3995mm long with a wheelbase of 2566mm and a ground clearance of 189mm. While its length matches the segment-leader Brezza and Nexon, its wheelbase is 66mm and 68mm longer than the Brezza and Nexon, respectively. This should reflect in more cabin space inside the cabin.

Skoda has confirmed that the Kylaq will get 6-way adjustable front seats with ventilation function, split LED headlamp setup, wraparound LED taillamps, multi-collision braking, and standard six airbags. Expect it to also feature a floating touchscreen infotainment, digital cluster, cruise control, auto AC, rear AC vents, wireless charger, electric sunroof, front & rear centre armrests, and a 360-degree surround view system for added convenience.
Powering the Kylaq will be the 1-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the Kushaq and Slavia. This engine makes 115PS of max power and 178Nm of peak torque and comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
We expect Skoda to price the Kylaq between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV 3XO and select variants of Maruti Fronx & Toyota Taisor.
