Skoda Kylaq Deliveries Begin In India

Skoda India has started deliveries of the Kylaq in India. Launched in November 2024, the latest sub-4m SUV is priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the brand’s most affordable model in the country, positioned against the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet and the upcoming Syros.

The Kylaq features Skoda’s latest ‘Modern Solid’ design language. It measures 3995mm in length, 1783mm in width, 1619mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2566mm and a boot space of 446 litres, which is the second highest in the segment after Kia Syros.

Skoda offers the Kylaq in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige, with the top-spec trim getting amenities like auto LED projector headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, 17-inch dual-tone alloys, a 10-inch infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 6-speakers, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, paddle shifters, wireless charger, ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, auto AC with rear AC vents, 6-way electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation function, adjustable headrests for all seats, etc. Click here for variant-wise feature details.

For passengers’ safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.

Compared to the other SUVs in the segment, the Kylaq skips features like a 360-degree camera, branded sound system, front parking sensors, electronics parking brakes with auto-hold, driving modes and an air purifier.

Underneath the hood, the Skoda Kylaq equips a 1-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 115PS of max power and 178Nm of peak torque. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
