Second-Gen Honda Amaze Achieved 2 Lakh Sales Milestone

Honda Cars India has sold over 2 lakh units of the second-generation Amaze in India. The company claims that 40% of its customers are first-time buyers, whereas its CVT trims make up 20% of the Amaze sales. The cumulative sales of Honda Amaze are more than 4.6 lakh units in our country.

The Amaze was initially launched in April 2013, while its second-gen model was introduced in May 2018. Recently, it has also received a mid-life facelift update, comprising subtle cosmetical changes as well as some new features. However, things remained unchanged on the mechanical front. That said, it continues to come with 1.2-litre petrol (90PS/110Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (up to 100PS/200Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda is currently working on introducing a CNG trim of the Amaze, which would be a first for any Honda car in the country.

Currently, the Honda Amaze is available in three trims: E, S, and VX, which retails from Rs 6.32 lakh to Rs 11.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and rivals the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
