Say Hello To The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63S Coupe

Mercedes-Benz has finally launched the new AMG GLE 63 S Coupe in the Indian market, making it the second AMG variant in the GLE lineup. Priced at Rs 2.07 crore (ex-showroom), it is Rs 54 lakh more expensive than the AMG GLE 53 Coupe.

Under the hood, the GLE 63 S Coupe equips a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 unit, making a maximum power output of 612PS and a peak torque of 850Nm. It also gets an EQ Boost 48V mild-hybrid system that churns out an extra 22PS and 250Nm. The power is sent to the all-wheels via a nine-speed AMG Speedshift TCT 9G automatic transmission. This helps the car perform the century sprint in just 3.8 seconds, before attaining the top speed of 280kmph.

The AMG GLE 63 S Coupe also comes with variable torque distribution (VDT), along with Active Ride Control tech that comprises AIRMATIC air suspension with an adaptive damping system. This stabilization system keeps the body roll in check when adopting a sporty driving style and increases the ride comfort by balancing the load cycle properties. In addition, it also gets cylinder deactivation technology that shuts down four cylinders in the partial-load range for improved fuel economy. This fuel-saving system automatically kicks in when the driver selects the “Comfort” drive mode out of a total of seven driving modes that include – Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, Race, Trail, and Sand.
