Royal Enfield Launches Tubeless Spoke Wheels and Rally Seat for Himalayan 450

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, known for its adventure capabilities on highways and rugged off-road trails, just got a significant upgrade. One common concern for riders using spoke wheels on such adventures is dealing with punctures. To address this, Royal Enfield has introduced tubeless spoke wheels for the Himalayan 450, priced at Rs 12,424 for the front and rear set, along with a rally seat priced at Rs 4,950.

Tubeless Spoke Wheels: A Game Changer

Tubeless spoke wheels offer the best of both worlds: the durability and flexibility of traditional spoke wheels combined with the convenience of tubeless tyres. Spoke wheels are generally stronger than alloy wheels, making them ideal for varied terrains, but they typically use tube tyres, which can leave riders stranded in the event of a puncture. Tubeless tyres, however, are much easier to repair on the go, reducing downtime and frustration during a ride.

These tubeless spoke wheels are now available for both new and existing owners of the Himalayan 450. New buyers can get the Himalayan 450 with tubeless spoke wheels at a starting price of Rs 2,96,000 (ex-showroom). Existing owners can purchase them separately at Rs 12,424 through Royal Enfield’s ‘Make it Yours’ (MiY) or as Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMA), starting from October 3, 2024.

Rally Seat for Better Off-Road Control

In addition to the tubeless spoke wheels, Royal Enfield has introduced a rally seat for the Himalayan 450, designed specifically for off-road enthusiasts. Taller and flatter than the standard seat, the rally seat improves rider posture and offers better control, especially in challenging terrain. It provides a closer seating position to the handlebars, making it easier to shift between sitting and standing during off-road rides, offering improved comfort and handling.

While the rally seat is not yet listed on the official Royal Enfield website, it is already available for purchase at dealerships across the country. With these new additions, Royal Enfield continues to enhance the Himalayan 450’s reputation as a versatile and adventure-ready bike.
