Royal Enfield Himalayan Deliveries Tentatively Suspended, New Model Is Expected To Launch Soon

We all know that Royal Enfield is working on a new version of the Himalayan motorcycle and its launch is just around the corner. If reports are to be believed, the RE has also suspended the deliveries of the existing Himalayan model, which suggests that the next batch of Himalayan ADV will probably get all the new updates that we have reported in our previous stories.

For the people not in know, the upcoming iteration of Himalayan adventurer tourer will get some cosmetic enhancements, a tipper navigation system like Meteor 350, and three new paint schemes (Pine Green, Granite Black, & Mirage Silver) with customization options. The cosmetic updates include a new brown color seat with improved padding, and repositioned metal tank mounts so that this did not impede the rider's knees, which was a major issue for some taller riders with the current-gen model.

Mechanically, it is unlikely to get any major updates. It will continue to use the existing 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled FI engine, which generates 24.3bhp and 32Nm. However, to improve the engine refinement, RE could introduce a new counterbalance. The braking and suspension setup, on the other hand, is also expected to remain the same as the ongoing model.

With all the aforementioned updates, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to be priced at a significant premium over the ongoing model which is priced at Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom).
