Renault Cars Get Dearer By Up To Rs 39,000

French automaker Renault has increased the prices of entire product line-up, including the Kwid, Triber, Kiger and Duster SUV. The price hike ranges from Rs 13,000 to Rs 39,000, depending on the model & variant. Here's a look at the updated model-wise prices: –

  • The entry-level Renault KWID is now costlier by up to Rs 20,000. It can be had either a 0.8-litre petrol (54PS/72Nm) or a 1.0-litre (68PS/91Nm) petrol unit. While the former come madted to only a 5-speed manual, the latter gets both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options.

  • Except for the base-spec RXE trim, prices of all the other variants of Renault Triber have gone up uniformly by Rs 13,000. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine (72PS/96Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.   • The prices of the naturally-apirated Kiger have been increased by up to Rs 19,000, while the Kiger Turbo is now pricier by Rs 39,000. 
  • As indicates by the above tables, the Renault Kiger is available with two petrol engine choices: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (72PS/96Nm) and a 1.0-litre turcharged petrol (100PS/160Nm) unit. While the former is mated to either a 5-speed mahual or an AMT, the latter comes with a 5-speed manual along with an optional 5-speed CVT automatic.

  • Renault has hiked the prices of the Duster SUV by Rs 13,000. 
  • Similar to the Kiger, it also comes with two petrol engine options but with higher displacements. These include 1.5-litre (106PS/142Nm) and 1.3-litre turbo (156PS/254Nm) units. Transmission options consist of a 5-speed MT for naturally aspirated variants, while the turbo-motor comes paired with either a 6-speed MT or a 7-step CVT automatic.
