There is no doubt that the Range Rover is one of the most iconic luxury SUVs in the world and it is the crown jewel of the Land Rover brand. It was launched earlier this year in India, and now the carmaker has silently introduced a plug-in hybrid powertrain in its lineup.
Powertrain
Land Rover has equipped the 5th-gen Range Rover’s PHEV variants with a 3-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 38.2kWh lithium-ion battery and a 143PS electric motor that is tuned for a combined output of 440PS or 510PS. It even gets a dedicated EV driving mode that offer an EV range of around 80 to 100 km in actual driving conditions. As for performance, it can complete the century sprint in just 6 seconds before attaining a top-speed of 225 kmph.

Variants and Price List
The PHEV powertrain is available with all four trims: SE, HSE, Autobiography, and First Edition. Based on the power tuning, the PHEV variants are divided into two groups: P440E and P510E.

Compared to the regular P400 3-litre petrol variants of the Land Rover Range Rover, the PHEV trims are up to Rs 20 lakh more expensive. However, it undercuts the P530 4.4-litre petrol variants.
