The new entry-level Tata SUV will be offered in four broad trims: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. Depending on the variant, it will also get three optional factory-fitted customization accessories packages, namely Rhythm Pack, Dazzle Pack, and iRA Pack. Features highlights of the Tata Punch include automatic halogen projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, 90-degree-opening doors, dual-tone alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, height-adjustable driver’s seat, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wiper, multiple driving modes and a Traction Pro mode for the AMT variant. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, Brake Sway Control, rear parking sensors, and a parking camera. In fact, a recently leaked screenshot from Tata Punch's booking portal has also revealed that it has received a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. However, the testing authority is yet to make any comment regarding the same. For those who aren't aware, the Punch is also based on the same ALFA arc platform as the Altroz, which also obtained 5-stars in the GNCAP safety checks.

The Tata Punch is powered by an 86PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. It is also expected to get Altroz's 110PS 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol and an all-electric powertrain at a later stage.

Tata is likely to price the Punch from Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go up against the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Mahindra KUV100 NXT
