PM Modi's Mercedes-Maybach S650 Pullman Guard – What's Special?
Prime Minister Modi's custom-made Maybach S650 Pullman Guard is an expression of modern luxury that gets the level-10 Vehicle Resistance (VR10) protection, which is the highest-ever resistance to firearms rounds and explosives provided in a production car. The body of the 6.50-meters long chauffeur-driven limousine is made using projectile-resistant materials, and the windows are laminated and feature polycarbonate coating. The base is also armored against explosives. This vehicle can withstand hardened steel core bullets, and a blast of 15kg TNT from a distance of just two meters. The cabin also gets a separate air supply in case of a gas attack.
The Maybach S650 Guard runs on superior run-flat tires that continue to function in case of damage or flat tires to ensure a rapid escape. Its fuel tank is also shielded with a special material that seals the holes automatically in case of a bang. It is made up of the same material that Boeing uses for its AH-64 Apache tank attack helicopters.
In terms of creature comforts, the S650 Pullman provides unmatched exclusivity and luxury. Typically, four passengers can sit facing each other in the passenger compartment of the S650 Pullman with an electrically operated partition. The key features of the S650 Pullman include memory adjustment for lounge seats, massage and ventilation function, Burmester high-end sound system, superior noise insulation, refrigerated compartment, champagne flutes, etc. It also gets a front view camera that can be used by the rear passengers to monitor the traffic in front of the vehicle.
