Over 1 Lakh Units of Mahindra XUV400 and XUV700 Recalled

  • Mahindra has issued a recall for over a hundred thousand units of the XUV400 and XUV700 for various reasons.
  • The XUV700 has been recalled over a possible risk of a cut in its wiring loom, which could result in excessive heating in the wiring.
  • The Mahindra XUV400 EV is being recalled for the inspection of its brake potentiometer’s spring return action, which Mahindra has indicated could be ineffective.
  • As per the information available, 1,08,306 units of the XUV700 are part of this recall. These units were manufactured between 8th June 2021 to 28th June 2023. Regarding the XUV400, its 3560 units, produced from 16th February 2023 to 5th June 2033, have been recalled.
  • Authorised Mahindra service centres will soon start contacting owners of affected vehicles to schedule an appointment for inspection. Post that, if required, the part will be repaired or replaced free of cost.
