Oben Rorr Electric Bike Now Available In Delhi, Pune, Kochi and Trivandrum

Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle startup, Oben Electric, has now entered four new markets, including Delhi, Pune, Kochi and Trivandrum. The company has also set up new dealerships in Banashankari, Rajajinagar and Electronic City in Bengaluru. With this, Oben Electric now has a total of 8 showrooms, and it aims to expand it further to 50 dealerships across 12 major cities by the end of 2024.

All these new dealerships are more than just sales points; they are immersive experience centres with service areas and dedicated sections for accessories and merchandise for enthusiasts.

Currently, Oben Electric has only one product on sale—the Rorr electric bike, which was launched in 2022 and delivered in July 2023. As of June 2023, it had reserved 21,000 pre-orders. However, according to the Vahan portal, only 129 units have been registered to date, with 30 units registered in April 2024 and just 19 units in May. With the expanding dealership network, the company is expected to better cater to its demand.

Speaking of the Oben Rorr, the electric bike comes equipped with an 8kW motor and 4.4kWh battery pack, claiming an IDC range of 187 kilometres and a top speed of 100 kmph. Currently, it is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru) and rivals the likes of Tork Kratos R and Revolt RV400.
