No Waiting Period On Tata Punch's Pre-Booked Units

Tata Motors has recently launched the Punch micro-SUV at an introductory price range of Rs 5.49 lakh to 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Deliveries of the car have already begun across the nation without any waiting period on the pre-booked units. And to ensure seamless deliveries of the Tata Punch in the future, the brand has taken several steps like closely coordinating with the semiconductor suppliers, increasing the use of standard chips instead of specialized units, approaching the stockist for direct access to some semiconductors. etc. It is also being said that Tata started producing the Punch from the month of September itself, due to which they have enough stock to deliver the vehicles against all the pre-launch bookings. The company is also considering some design changes to optimize the use of semiconductors.

While Tata is yet to reveal the exact pre-booking numbers of the Punch SUV, the officials have confirmed that the Punch has attracted the highest pre-launch bookings in the entire product portfolio of the brand.

As mentioned above, Tata Motors currently has enough inventory of the Punch SUV to deliver the pre-booked units to customers without any waiting period. However, with the increase in the number of bookings, the waiting period could rise in the future.

For those who aren't aware, the Punch is the smallest SUV from Tata that comes in a total of four variants – – Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. Tata is also offering a total of three factory customisation packs with the SUV. That said, the Pure and Adventure trims are offered with a Rhythm pack which costs Rs 35,000, while the Accomplished and Creative variants can be had with a Dazzle (Rs 45,000) and iRA (Rs 30,000) pack, respectively. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Mahindra KUV100 NXT are the direct competitors of Tata Punch in the Indian market. However, pricing-wise, it also goes up against the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Maruti Swift, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
