Nitin Gadkari Unveils New FASTag Annual Pass Scheme, Starts August 15

The Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has announced a new FASTag-based annual subscription pass scheme for non-commercial, private vehicle owners, which is set to come into effect from August 15, 2025.

FASTag Annual Pass – Key Features

  • Priced at Rs 3,000, the annual pass will offer a hassle-free, seamless, cost-effective toll payment experience by allowing private vehicle owners to pay once for multiple trips, especially for those who travel frequently within a fixed region.
  • The pass will be valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first. This means each toll receipt will cost you just Rs 15.
  • In addition to lower toll costs, users will no longer need to constantly monitor their FASTag balance during regular travel. This provides peace of mind for those planning long-distance trips or frequent highway use.
  • It is also expected to significantly benefit daily commuters who cross toll plazas regularly, as they won’t have to pay the full toll amount every day just to reach their destinations. This makes the pass not only affordable but also convenient for high-frequency travelers.

A dedicated line for activation and renewal of the pass will be introduced soon and made available through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official website of NHAI and MoRTH.
