Nissan Magnite To Get A New XV Executive Variant; Details Out

Nissan is about to launch a new variant of the Magnite that will be known as 'XV Executive'. It is likely to be positioned between the mid-spec XL and XV variants of the sub-4m SUV and will get a host of new features over the XL trim that will be worth up to Rs 52,000.

As per the recently leaked image, the new XV EXECUTIVE trim will get silver side cladding and 16-inch alloy wheels on the exterior. Inside, it will receive a height-adjustable driver's seat, rear centre armrest with cup holders, 60:40-split rear seat, ISOFIX child seat anchors, seatback pockets, rear camera, and a 9-inch Android-based touchscreen infotainment system that will come with pre-installed google maps, wireless/wired mirror link and video playback support, etc.

Compared to the higher-spec Magnite XV trims, it will miss out on the LED DRLs, fog lamps and keyless entry with a push-button start/stop system.

Speaking of the powertrain, the new Magnite XV Executive trim will be available with both 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines. While the former comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and makes out 71PS/96Nm, the latter delivers up to 100PS & 160Nm and can be had with either a 5-speed MT or CVT automatic unit.

Since the new variant will be positioned above the XL trim, expect it to be priced between Rs 6.87 lakh to 8.91 lakh (ex-showroom). We reckon that Nissan will launch this new trim before the Diwali festival.
