Nissan Magnite To Get A CNG Option Soon

After Renault Kiger, Nissan is also expected to expand Magnite lineup with a CNG-powered variant, offering a more fuel-efficient option for budget-conscious buyers. It will provide better mileage while retaining the SUV’s practicality and features.

Like the Renault Kiger CNG, Nissan Magnite is also likely to offer the CNG setup as a retrofitted component by an authorised vendor with its 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, rather than a factory-fitted unit. In general, this engine makes 72PS of max power and 96Nm of peak torque. However, the engine output will be reduced with the CNG. It will be offered with a manual gearbox only.

Nissan also offers the Magnite with a 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine (100PS/up to 160Nm). However, it is unlikely to be offered with the CNG kit.

As the Kiger CNG, we expect Nissan Magnite’s CNG setup will also be priced at Rs 79,500 over its ex-showroom price.

Nissan Magnite CNG

Expect Magnite CNG to carry forward all the features of the regular model. The key highlights includes automatic LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, digital drivers display, ambient lighting, auto AC, rear AC vents, cruise control, height-adjustable driver seat, powered side mirrors, cooled glovebox, wireless charger, optional air purifier, six airbags, auto-dimming IRVM, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

Currently, the Nissan Magnite is priced between Rs 6.14 lakh and Rs 11.76 lakh (ex-showroom), taking on the likes of Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Maruti Brezza.
