Nissan India has issued a recall for the Magnite over faulty front door handle sensors. While the exact number of affected units hasn’t been disclosed, the recall applies to base-spec XE and mid-spec XL variants of the sub-4m SUV manufactured between November 2020 and December 2023.
The Japanese automaker will begin contacting owners of the affected units to inspect and replace the faulty components on their vehicles free of charge. Additionally, owners can verify if their vehicle is affected by visiting the ‘Owner VIN Check’ section on the Nissan India website and inputting their car’s VIN (vehicle identification number). For any inquiries or assistance, customers can reach Nissan India’s customer care centre at the toll-free number 1800-209-3456.
The manufacturer assures owners that they can continue using their SUVs without any concerns for the time being.
