Nissan Magnite Gets A New XV Executive Variant

Ever since its launch in December 2020, the Magnite has been the most selling car for Nissan India. Initially, the sub-4m SUV was available in five broad trims: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O). Now, the automaker has introduced a new XV Executive variant, prices of which are yet to be revealed. However, it could demand about Rs 35,000 extra over the XL trim.

The new Nissan Magnite XV Executive variant gets a host of additional features over the XL trim that includes 16-inch diamond-cut alloys, an Android-based 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink and pre-installed Google Maps, height-adjustable driver's seat, ISOFIX child seat anchors (standard), a 60:40 split-folding rear bench with armrest & cupholders (standard), and a rear-view camera.

Other features onboard include steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable & foldable wing mirrors, 2.4A fast-charging USB port, passive keyless entry with push-button start/stop (CVT only), driver side window auto up/down, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear window defogger, anti-theft alarm, rear parking sensors, speed-sensing door locks, impact sensing door unlock, Electronic stability control (turbo only), hill-start assist (turbo only), traction control (turbo only), hydraulic brake assist (turbo only).

Unlike the XV and XV premium variant, the new XV Executive trim misses out on wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nissan Connect suite, 7-inch coloured instrument cluster, LED bi-projector headlamps, cruise control, rear AC vents, front centre armrest, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and optional Tech Pack that further combines wireless smartphone charging, air purifier, ambient mood lighting, puddle lamps, and JBL speakers, etc.

The XV Executive variant of the Nissan Magnite continues to be powered by the existing 100PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 72PS 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines. While both the engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, the turbocharged mill also gets an optional CVT automatic unit.

Currently, the Nissan retails the Magnite from Rs 5.71 lakh to Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It has received over 72,000 bookings since its launch, out of which the automaker has delivered 30,000 units so far.
