Nissan Magnite Commands Up To 8 Months Waiting Period

Nissan Magnite, the latest entrant to the sub-4m SUV segment is off to a solid start. At a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh, it is the most affordable subcompact SUV in India. With its attention-seeking pricing, the Magnite is becoming very popular among buyers. It has crossed over the 15,000 bookings mark since its launch on 2nd December 2020, and as a result, its waiting period has stretched up to 8 months in selected cities. So, if you're planning to buy this Japanese offering, here we have compiled a list of its waiting periods in some major cities of the country so that you can have a fair idea that how long you’ll have to wait before getting your hands on your desired car: –

As per the reports, the base-spec XE trim is in huge demand and currently, it has the longest waiting period, while the top-end variants are available with the least waiting time.

If you're a resident of India's capital then you might have to wait for up to 8 months to get your car delivered. Gurgaon, on the other hand, has the least waiting period ranging from 1 to 3 months. Jaipur, Lucknow, Chennai, Mumbai & Thane has a waiting period of up to 6 months, whereas the buyers of Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and Noida will have to wait for up to 3-4 months.

About Nissan Magnite

The Magnite is available in five variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O), priced from Rs 4.55 lakh to Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Apart from being the most affordable offering, Magnite has the least maintenance cost in its segment at 29 paise/km for the first 50,000 km. 

Nissan Magnite is available with two petrol engine options: 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit (72PS/96Nm) and a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol (100PS/up to160Nm) engine. Both engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the turbocharged unit is also available with the choice of CVT automatic gearbox. As far as the features are concerned, its key features include LED headlamps, LED DRLs, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless apple carplay & android auto, a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, multi-function steering, cruise control, 360-degree parking camera, Nissan Connect with 50+ features, wireless charger, tyre pressure monitoring system ambient lighting, puddle lamps, and many more.

In the Indian market, the Nissan Magnite lock horns with Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Honda WR-V.
