The MG4 EV is based on the brand’s new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) battery architecture that is suitable for various body styles, with wheelbases ranging from 2,650mm to 3,100mm. It has been specifically designed to maximize battery efficiency as well as to reduce weight while increasing luggage and cabin space. Furthermore, battery swap technology can also be integrated into this system, thus making it future ready.

Coming back to the MG4, it comes with two battery pack options in international market, delivering a WLTP claimed range of up to 452km. Unlike the MG ZS EV, the new MG4 has a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup for a sportier driving experience. Using a 150kW DC fast charger, the 64kWh battery pack of the new MG4 EV long-range can be energised from 10 to 80 per cent in just 35 minutes.

As for features, the MG4 comes loaded with tons of premium features, such as 10.25″ touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, digital driver’s display, wireless charging, heated front seats, 360-degree camera, connected car technology and MG Pilot ADAS suite that further includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Emergency Braking, Lane-Keep Assist, Intelligent High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Traffic Jam Assist and much more.
